For something that is happening in Palestine, why question our university? What is the role of our university in all of this?

Why the call for boycott? What purpose can an academic boycott serve to end the genocide in Gaza? It seems superficial!

As an academic, shouldn't we value plurality of opinions and not take sides in this situation?

But not every Israeli academic is supporting the genocide. By boycotting Israeli institutions don't we risk losing support of such voices who might push for a change from within?

I have heard people shouting slogans, 'from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free'. Isn't that antisemitic and doesn't it translate into call for an end to Israel?

But I'm only a university worker, what can I do in such a big institution, especially when the office bearers of the university decide to stay silent?

There are atrocities happening in other parts of the world as well, notably in Sudan, Iran, Afghanistan etc., why focus only on Palestine and not raise voices for others?

I myself come from a marginalized background, should I risk raising my voice and get further marginalized?
